Child at Risk Response Team (CARRT) of Schoharie County
The Child at Risk Response Team works to develop and promote approaches to prevent and stop child abuse in Schoharie County.
The Child at Risk Response Team provides a centralized, non-threatening, child-friendly setting where services can be coordinated for child victims of sexual abuse.
The CARRT Center is designed to reduce trauma, and support the child victim and non-offending family members in a comfortable setting during a very difficult time. The Center makes it possible to have a more immediate and complete investigation with minimal distress to the child.
The CARRT provides victim assistance through referrals to needed services, advocacy, emergency assistance for basic needs, and support and encouragement.
Several agencies from our local communities participate as members of the Child at Risk Response Team including the Schoharie County District Attorney's office, Schoharie County Public Health, Catholic Charities, Community Maternity Services, Schoharie County Sheriff's Office, Berskire Farms, SCCAP, Schoharie County COmmunity Services, and the Schoharie County Department of Social Services.
