What are Caring Connections and Emergency Assistance?

Caring Connections is a collaboration with churches to connect families and vulnerable members of the community with resources to meet basic needs. Churches refer to Caring Connections when they do not have the resources to assist. The program services all religions and nationalities delivering peace of mind in crisis. 

What do Caring Connections and Emergency Assistance do?

• Caring Connections is an emergency assistance program of Delaware, Otsego, and Schoharie counties. The program provides services to families and individuals. These include:
• Finding resources to assist with needs such as utilities, food, transportation, gas, and personal needs.
• Assist in determining eligibility to qualify for services and programs.
• Help create a budget to manage and plan for expenses and unforeseen financial challenges.
• Coordinate with senior living communities to find housing.
• We often provide a safe and caring environment and listening ear for people to share their experiences and situation as we determine the resources necessary to get them back on their feet.
