Housing resources are available in Otsego and Schoharie counties, including financial assistance and shelter.
The goals of the Rental Assistance Program are to assist in securing housing and to provide support services that help to eliminate any barriers to maintaining housing. These services may include limited financial assistance, budgeting help, referrals to and paying for a portion of your rent. Case Management services may be provided for up to two years based on your needs.
Ten-bed, drop in Warming stations are available in Otsego and Schoharie counties, from November 1st through March 31st.
Emergency shelter is available for people fleeing their homes because of domestic violence who do not have a safe place to stay. Survivors and their children can stay for up to 90 days in our agency’s safe dwelling. Locations are never disclosed. Supportive services, including planning and connections to resources needed to find safe housing, are available. Shelter residents are eligible for counseling, transportation, legal, advocacy, and childcare services. Visit the Domestic Violence Program page for more information and services
